Masor Tenga

Kaziranga National Park – Tourist Advisory

  • November to April is the ideal season.

    Pleasant weather, dry paths, and active wildlife.

    March-April offers the best rhino sightings before monsoon.

    Park remains closed from May to October due to heavy monsoon and flooding.

  • By Road: Well-connected via NH37. Taxis and buses available from major towns.

  • Kaziranga National Park was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985 primarily for its conservation success in protecting the endangered one-horned rhinoceros. It also holds significant value for its rich biodiversity, including other large mammals like tigers, elephants, and wild water buffalo, as well as various bird species. The park's unique natural environment, including the Brahmaputra Valley floodplain, is also a major factor in its designation. 

    Kaziranga National Park offers both jeep safaris and elephant safaris, providing visitors with different ways to explore the park's wildlife. Jeep safaris allow for covering larger areas quickly, while elephant safaris offer a closer, quieter interaction with nature, particularly in areas inaccessible to vehicles.
